    No homegroup access

    Hello
I have set up home network behind a router. every basic operations as folders sharing work but when I try from Windows 10 machine to join homegroup created from another computer running Windows 8.1 the operation is unsuccessfull. The homegroup was firstly created on the Win8 machine. Same homegroup password is used same of course. Home group listener/provider services are started on both computers. Any idea why is it not working?

HomeGroup is really time sensitive, the time on all machines belonging or joining a HomeGroup must be exactly correct and synced. A fraction of a second time difference can mean a PC can't join a HomeGroup.

The below procedure helps surprisingly often to get a computer joined in HomeGroup:

    1.) Go to time settings:

2.) Open the additional time settings:

3.) Click the Set the time and date link:

4.) Select the Internet Time tab, click Change settings:

5.) To sync the time, click the Update now button:

    6.) Click OK, reboot:

Do this on all the other HomeGroup computers first, then last on the computer having issues in joining the HomeGroup.

Thanks for the idea. I have synced time on both machines and rebooted, unfortunatelly I'm still getting the same error.

I have checked that all these services run on both computers
    - Homegroup listener
    - Homegroup provider
    - Windows firewall

Are there more services required ?
