    Hi Duffer,

"C'est la vie" are you from Québec?

I was there 3 years ago.

No, born and raised in Ontario, but spent my early teens in North Bay where many of my buddies came from french speaking families.
Just curious, but how did you make out with the "Quebecois French patois" ?

    Well Duffer,

in Canada the French is not the French-French, but you know that i mean.

In Québec they say "mon char" (spelling might be wrong) and they mean "ma voiture" or "my car".

Strange, but overhere in the Netherlands AND Belgium, English is not pronounced as should either.

Here most people say "beckhand" and it should be "backhand".

The major difference is that for you, english is not your "official language". In Quebec, they are not officially bilingual and english usage is aggressively discouraged "to protect their french heritage". In school in Ontario, I was taught Parisienne? french and have to struggle to communicate in Québecois yet had very little trouble communicating in Cajun french in New Orleans (Louisiana, USA). I have a neighbour who was raised in Quebec and she is totally disgusted that in France they use the term "le weekend?" instead of keeping the archaic term. God forbid that any good Quebecer should adopt a phrase from english and sully their language.
Sorry for rambling on but I have put up with their nonsense for 50 years and am becoming increasingly intolerant. Possibly the reason for "beckhand" can be traced to hearing "David "BECKHAM" so often ;~{)

    Grand !!!!
As usual, if the door won't open, just keep looking until you find a window you can get through. Hopefully M$ will come through with an actual fix.
