    Microsoft Hosted Network Virtual Adapter is missing


    hello , the title pretty much says it all.
    i cant create a virtual wifi network using this command
    netsh wlan start hostednetwork (the "set" command works)

    the solution is to enable     Microsoft Hosted Network Virtual Adapter which is missing , and yes i tried to show hidden devices

    If he was accurately describing his problem, then no, that does not help. The link you provided mentions enabling the Microsoft Hosted Virtual Network Adapter in the device manager, but it does not exist for him to enable. I am currently having the same issue.

    My problem, which I suspect may be the OPs issue as well, is that my network adapter does not allow for hosted networks. To check this, open cmd and type "netsh wlan show drivers". If it says "Hosted network supported = Yes" then you are good to go and there is a different issue. If it says "no," you need to update your drivers.

    you said if it says "no", need to update the drivers, so which drivers must be update to enable hosted network ?. please tell me
