    help with a linksys router win10 22h2

i just got frontier internet and they gave me 2 eero routers. one was set next to their modem and one they set up in the house. however it was setting by the tv and it got very poor wifi. i found out when i moved it to the other side of the room. anyway i have a linksys router EA7500v2 model. anyway i had to bridge it to get it to connect to the eero 6 router. what i would like to do is rename the password but i do not know how to access it on the internet like i could before i bridged it. or even with the netgear that i was using before i switched. does anyone happen to know how to do this i tried 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.0 and 192.168.0.0 and it would not go thru to that router like it did on the netgear. the eero team redid the ip from the eero to what the netgear was because i have lots of devices set to the old ip address and did not want to redo all of them.

so how can it do this before i did the bridge it had a different password but after i did the bridge it changed the password back to what was on the sticker. thanks

do ipconfig in cmd and get the default gateway address, that will be your routers address. The bridged router will be inaccessible because its just a pass through in that mode.

ok i know the ip address for the eero and when i type that into the browser i get a can't connect to it so that may be the first line of security.
as for the linksys connected to the eero router and then the frontier modem i can't see that ip anymore. so i guess i will rely on the passwords on both of them to be the first shield. thanks

Yes whatever one is bridged will be invisible so there will be no ip for it. When a router is bridged it becomes basically a space heater that does nothing but suck up power. You only need to worry about the one that you can connect to.

actually i can see it on the pc when i click on the network icon i get a choice to pick the linksys that is bridged to the eero. and i do have to enter the linksys password. the password is a 10 character password but i would have love to be able to change it to what is was before i did the bridge. now i have to look it up when i need to connect to it with a new device. by ow i should have remembered it but this old brain does not remember so good. fortunately i remember where to look. thanks

ok so it would be an ap then not a bridge, You will have to get the factory password then.

thanks i have the factory password and i use that. i guess it is what it is thanks for the help. it would have been nice to be able to get into it and reset it. when i did the ap i believe your saying access point for the ap, anyway some here gave me a link for doing that to the linksys so i could use that router to add onto the eero router to have better wifi inside the house because the 2nd eero router did not have much speed setting by the tv. it seems to interfere with the signals. but on the linksys the tv did not bother it. again thanks
