Block or allow IGMP traffic (Home network, no router)

    Windows 10 Home 22H2 OS Build 19045.4170

I'm using Windows Firewall Control and I have an allow/block situation I'm not sure about:

NAME: NT Kernel & System (System)

DESCRIPTION: Outbound rule for NT Kernel & System (System)

    PROTOCOL: IGMP

    DIRECTION: OUTBOUND

all local & remote ports and all local & remote IP addresses.

I allowed this rule another time but the protocol was ICMPV4.

*I'm running Windows 10 Home on my home desktop PC. No other PCs or devices (no router) are connected (other than a couple monitors & some USB related devices). Nobody else uses my internet, only my profile, and nobody connects anything.

Should I allow this or block it?

I just am confused about IGMP within a ethernet cable connected modem. I think it has something to do with switches?

You say your running a modem that is very high risk and means your pc is live on the net so liable to be hacked if you have a router it's live on the net but it uses NAT so no pc is seen and can't be reached
