I know nothing about browsers but that does sound to me like a browser fault.
You might be able to confirm that by trying a different browser and then it would be worth the effort of running your own browser's correction routines. Just by way of example,
    FF troubleshooting page - "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" about:support
How to clear the Firefox cache - Firefox Help
Clear cookies and site data in Firefox - Firefox Help
Reset Firefox to Default - TenForumsTutorials

I've never studied my browser and just noted those links when I saw them in the hope they'd come in handy.

    Best of luck,
    Denis

It so happens that the PC that refuses to complete the Account set up is using Win 11 - - - but so is the other new PC which added both acounts without a hitch.
Maybe I need to create a ne account in the Windows 11 section ??
Add Local User Account - ElevenForumTutorials
Change Account Type (Std-Admin) - ElevenForumTutorials
Check Account is Administrator or Standard User - ElevenForumTutorials

If you are going to ask Brink about the creating a new local account problem, it would be better to ask in ElevenForum.
And ElevenForum would be the appropriate place for you to create a thread about that problem as well.

When you do register in ElevenForum, include @Try3 somewhere in one of your posts [but not in a thread title] so I get notified there.

In Master (A) PC (192.168.1.20) open command prompt and type:
    net use K: "\\192.168.1.22\Desktop-JSFP1GJ"

    Wait for the response
    It should ask
    1. for a user name (user that is logged in Server C)
    2. password

Are you sure that the sharename is correct?
    Permission
    Everyone

Thanks for the input @Pentagon but the responce came back as "System error 67 has occured. The network name cannot be found"

I must say that it's a long time since I last used 'Net Use' :)) and of course it had left my mind!

I CAN 'Ping' 192.168.1.22 and get a positive response, and yes the PC names (on the old system) are complex I was not involved with their set up.

    Not the PC-Name!!
    I mean Share-Name!!
Rightclick on the folder Properties/Sharing/advanced sharing/sharename...

The PC-Name looks like the default random name

Then substitute in the above net use command the computer name with the new sharename

Ah. . . the share name is simply C

using 'C' in the CMD - it returns completed sucessfully without asking for a password

I have just had a further look in the [Sharing] on the [Server] and 'full control' is not ticked. When I tried to [Edit] that I had a number of error messages which ultimately reported 'Access Denied' which meant that the only way forward was to [Cancel]

So you must have seen the folder on your PC Explorer as (K:)
    Or is it still there?
There you can select: separate or unshare.
    or net use K: /delete
When the folder is mapped, you can't change the permissions.

Having done a litle more testing - now that my memory about Net Use has been jogged :)

I can confirm that when the C: drive on the Server is mapped as K:, both in the CMD window and in File Manager I am able to display the Files and folders and access most of then - there are naturally some which have restricted access and I can live with that.

After I had deleted the mapping, I then used \\192.168.1.22\c in the file manager and could also 'see' the whole of Server/C: - and navigate it !! I do consider that as a result - of sorts - . . . . . .

Ahem ! - - - - I've now realised that I had swapped the two IP addresses - not that it matters a jot, because I've been sucessfull with .22 & .24 and it's actually shown that I can access both the Server and the Slave from the Master.

File Manager still shows the 'mapped' drive but I assume that will vanish with a re-boot (which I'm loath to do at the moment since I might lose remote access)

I'm still getting "Cannot access . . . " when using \\Desktop-EKI902T or \\Desktop-JSFP1GJ though but it does take some time for the error message to appear - whereas it used to be 'instant' , and the [diagnose] always returns "can't find the problem" - - and there are no icons in the [Network] Folder.

I've even been able to add two shared printers - albeit 'manually' - using the [Browse] and \\192.168.1.24. I can't tell whether that was totally successfull since the office is currently un-manned and I've only sent a test page to the Laser which I believe is 'On'; the dot matrix is a different ball-game and if that received inappropriate code, it might well print rubbish using up a whole box of paper even if it is actually 'On'

Now that I've been able to discover where I can set my Avatar, I'm sure you'll appreciate why I picked up on your Moniker 'Pentagon'

The outline I use is a 'Reuleaux' Pentagon and my silversmith Sponsor Mark is also my initials in a Pentagon - though in that case it can't be Reuleaux!

OK, now check if all PCs have the right Share-Name.
if all PCs have a password (!)
    use
    net use K: /delete
    to unmap the shares
instead of K: you can use any free letter available.

    and 192.168.1.10 | 20 | 30 | 40 is easier to remember

    good luck
