    Problem viewing shared folders from File Explorer navigation pane

    I have 3 computers in a Windows 10 private home network, and they can all see each other.

    However, when I attempt to browse shared folders on \\JUDY by expanding from the File Explorer navigation pane, I receive this permissions error:

    The other 2 computers expand normally to display all the shares.

    I can still access the shared folders on \\JUDY by entering the full path in the File Explorer address bar.
    For example, typing \\JUDY\Documents opens that shared folder. I have to repeat that method for each of the shared folders on that computer. Obviously, it would be easier if \\JUDY expanded like the others.

    Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

    @jhcarver
    Whenever you get the Judy error message, close it.
    Then open "John" and wait till the folders appear.
    Close "John" and try "Judy" again. It should open without any problem

    Have you set permissions on the share to everyone and also set NTFS permissions

    Thank you Pentagon. Unfortunately, your suggestion did not work.
    Thank you Samuria. The properties of each shared folder show "Everyone" has full access. This is seen in Sharing|Advanced Sharing|Permissions as well as under the Security tab.

    Add the log in credentials in the Credentials app for each share on each machine.

    All shared folders are accessible from all 3 computers. The issue is that I cannot browse the shared folders on \\JUDY from the file explorer navigation pane. However, I can browse those folders if I enter the complete path in the file explorer address bar, e.g.\\JUDY\DOCUMENTS.

    \\JUDY\Documents is not in a user folder; that location is on a separate partition within \\JUDY.

    \\JUDY expands as expected from the navigation pane on 2 of the 3 computers to show all shared folders. It is only on \\JOHN that the permissions error is generated.

    Have you specifically shared \\John? You would usually share the folders inside a Users folder not the Users folder itself.

    \\JOHN shared folders are seen by the other 2 computers with no problems, so I presume the shares are set up correctly on \\JOHN. Am I missing something else? And working from \\JOHN the shared folders on the other 2 computers are also seen, but for \\JUDY, I need to enter the complete path in the address bar rather than expand the network name in the navigation pane.
