    Weirdest sharing bug ever?

so i was trying to share a folder, but probably picked a wrong drop-down menu or smth and after i replaced the read/write with the Read option to share the folder with only read access, it popped up some new "replace recent permissions" window or smth and when i pressed "yes, replace", it actually added the Read permission to every single file on every hdd, instead of the 'recent folders' that it listed in the popup window ??
and the only way i got some of the functionality back(most programs just stopped working) was that i just switched the "read" menu to "read/write", and then it actually even popped up the same "recent permissions" window again, but it also had less folders listed in there (like 3-4 instead of the previous 6-7).... and some apps still wont work over a simple Lan connection now...
    (win 10 22h2 etc..)

    Whats "smth"?

What was the nature of the folder you were trying to share?
