    Now there is 5 steps required to close Onedrive

    It was a pain in the neck before, but as of today, after the previously absurd four steps it took to close Onedrive, now, you must give a reason "why" you want to close it, before doing so.

    It's bad enough that I have to close, and then open it again sometimes to get it to sync, but this is ridiculous. Are they purposely looking to alienate people?

    Time to start looking for an alternative.

    One Drive to rule them all, One Drive to find them,
    One Drive to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them;
    In the Land of Redmond where the shadows lie.

    Onedrive is evil. I don't store anything in the clouds.

    It's called marketing. Unfortunately, the backroom techs at Redmond think that if they make it hard enough users will give up on trying to stop OD, and just start/keep on using it.

    They forgot about the alternative - that it will piss off users so much, it becomes a challenge to kill it, it's an us and them.

    And most of us don't like losing ....

    That's precisely the impression I got, a scheme to translate into cash, maybe by exceeding storage limits, and being more available to those marketing campaigns, like that "memories" things they keep pitching.

    BTW, I heard a suggestion for a work around by closing it thru the Task Manager. But guess what, even when it's open, it's not listed in that "Apps" section at the top. You have to go find it in the 'Background Processes".
