PCs Showing, but then NOT showing, under Network

I have a small network here, all 3 PCs are Windows 10 22H2, directly wired to the router, and have been for years. One PC - SERVER-PC - is the host for a few programs.

One PC [LENOVO-RT] was not seeing the other two PCs (or itself) even though Network Discovery was on (and automatic) and File & Print Sharing is also on all under Private Networking. Note, all 3 PCs show up as Media Devices.

After some hours of bringing them up to date with Windows, trying to reset the network on LENOVO-RT, File Explorer would show the folders under \\SERVER-PC\.

But here's what's WEIRD: In File Explorer, on the left-hand Navigation Pane, LENOVO-RT and SERVER-PC show up (but not the 3rd) and SERVER-PC only shows up after entering \\SERVER-PC\ in the Location field. But only LENOVO-RT shows up in the Contents Pane:

PS - I deleted the image that shows below, but when I attached the more-marked-up-one, they both show (at least to me). What gives? How do I remove an image and not have it show up anyway?

File explorer's Network section has been unreliable for years.
Making your own shortcuts to each computer is reliable.

Not exactly warm & fuzzy, but....

Thanks, Denis, looks like that other thread was yesterday! I guess I'm not alone.

I mapped the drive and it restores when the "client" PC reboots.

So, I was hoping for a fix, but I guess I'll settle for File Explorer & Network (there) has s bug.

I'll take a moment and send Feedback to The Dark Castle (that would be Microsoft).

Again, thanks for the very quick, snappy reply!

    Robert,

I've used shortcuts instead of File explorer, Network section for ages.
I've arranged them all in a section of my Taskbar Toolbar - Taskbar Toolbars - Creating and naming, customising, moving [post #20] - TenForumsTutorials

    And, about removing diagrams, see
How to Remove a Screenshot or Image from TenForums Post - TenForumsTutorials

    All the best,
    Denis

    Welcome to TenForums.

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page.
    - At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
    - I download a new copy each month.
    - By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
    - Tutorials are also listed by category at Tutorials - there's also a shortcut to that at the top of every page.
    - Both tutorial lists are searchable.
    - You can also search for TenForumsTutorials in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com/tutorials after your search term. For example,
    taskbar toolbars site:tenforums.com/tutorials

You can search TenForums using the search box in the top-right corner of all TenForums webpages or using Advanced Search - TenForums
    - You can also search TenForums threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com after your search term. For example,
Search for drivers by HardwareID site:tenforums.com
    - [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of TenForums webpages does automatically]

    Denis,

Thanks for the tip. I'm guessing there's a time limit, as the option to Edit this post isn't available to me - and I did log in.

    Robert,

There might be a time limit, I suppose.

I am not going to be around much over the next couple of days so here is what I would post if you did have a real network problem [as opposed to a File explorer, Network section bug].
A consolidated network setup checklist for Windows 10 and 11 - my post #4 - TenForums

    Best of luck,
