    Permissions - rename a domain PC


    Hi All,
    I am a Domain user (Not a Domain admin) who is a local admin on a PC (My domain user name is part of the 'administrators' group).
    I am able to join a PC to and disjoin a PC from a domain. I am however unable to rename a PC on a domain and getting the message:
    The Following Error occurred Attempting to Rename the Computer to: -----------. 'Access is Denied'

    I have permission to join a computer to the domain but no permission to rename a computer on a domain, why?
    btw, If I join the PC and rename it at the same time it works fine.

    Windows 10 Enterprise, version 1909.

    You have to be a admin and do the naming at the DC.
