Network printer not showing up in the web browser

I am using Windows 10 on some systems, and Windows 7 on others.
I can't see my printer when I type its IP address, and the driver is NOT locating the printer on some computers, even when I use its IP address. However, it is working from other computers on the network.
I can see the printer when I go to another computer and I see the router and all the devices connected to it, but NOT from every computer.
I have the router connected to a 16 port switch.
How can I configure the network so that the printer works with all the computers where the driver is installed.

    Hi, please see:
Share a Printer in Windows 10
Add Shared Printer in Windows 10
    - from the huge searchable Tutorials section - do feel free to have a look.

Please check all relevant settings on a PC that can't see the printer; the second tutorial covers using the IP address too.

Network printer not showing up in the web browser

    Thanks dalchina:

But I had already done all of those things.
All of the computers were previously working with an older router & switches.
Most of the computers are already connected to the internet, and some are working with the printer.
When I query the router, I can see some of the computers, but not all, but even some of the computer that I do see are NOT connecting to the printer.
The printer & its IP are showing up when I query the router.

Try removing the printer from Devices and Printers and then adding it back again. I think it may be because the IP assignments have changed since you changed routers.

Also, if the computers are not set as "Private" networks, you want be able to see them... A "Public" network makes them hidden. And IP mess ups will use a default Public network.

I agree that all your computers need to be configured for a Private Network. You can check that by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Status. It should look something like this:

If you log onto your router can you see all your computers and your printer?

For example, here is a screenshot of my router after I log into it. I have edited it to identity all the devices shown. Note my router only has 4 Ethernet ports. I needed more wired ports so added a 5-port switch connected to it.

Windows networking is flaky so don't expect to all the computers to show up in File Explorer > Network. However I can access all computer using shortcuts.

Do you have the latest printer driver installed on every computer? I can print from all my computers except the ones with Windows XP because there aren't any drivers for that.

    Thanks MisterEd:
I will double check that ALL of the computers are on a Private Network, but I suspect that they are since they were all working in the past at some point.
I do have the latest drivers on each system, however, if the computer cant see the printer, it won't install the driver anyway.
So far, of the 14 computers, only 4 are NOT connecting to the network. Of the 14 that are connected to the internet, I can't print from 5 of them.
My router also has 4 ports, and I go into a 16 port switch after that.
I will go back through this again sometime on Tuesday.

Thanks guys for all of your suggestions.

    BTW MisterEd.
Are you using a managed switch?

As a test try the HP Smart app on the non working machines. My router doesn't see my printer as I've assigned a static IP address for it.
Also in Devices @ Printers, add a printer and select 'the printer that I want isn't listed' for more options if required.

Good advice, it allows you to setup the printer as a TCP/IP printer, using a TCP/IP port and not the standard WSD port.
