Why is the internet speed of my Gigabyte pc slower then the HP pc?

They may save themself some lines by not writing a option for 1gbps as it will just default to auto negotiation where the throughput of the adapter would be its max threshold of 1gpbs, makes sense.
I know they do this sort of methodology across many adapters where they leave out certain options and utilize the default or auto setting to save time and cut down on arbitrary code.

Speed tests should default to your carrier also so either spectrum is carried by frontier or they are the same company under different banners? maybe you have node issues or something?
What i am getting at is that the frontier speeds seem slow so you may want to inform your isp stating that when you do the speed test you get better speeds when switching to a different carrier.

The issue is fixed!
It is a quick fix. I went from the 200+ mbps range to over 500mbps now.
All I needed to do was move the slider that was midway all the way to the right side.
Restarted the computer and do a speedtest. Now over 500mbps!
To make other changes if you want you choose Custom in the lower right.

I did more and more searches and came across an answer that worked.
I have a Windows 10 Pro pc from 2015 and I was reading posts of people with new builds with the same issue.
I pay for Spectrum Ultra and should get 470mbps (May 2021). It worked for a while then the speed fell to half or even more.

As an experiment I took an empty hard drive and installed Windows 7 on it and the speed was above 500mbps.
I put back my hard drive with Windows 10 and it was the same issue as before.
