Using desktop as a Mobile Hotspot source and one laptop can't connect.

    Hello,
I have my iPhone 14 tethered to a DELL desktop (Win 10) and distributing the internet connection wirelessly via Mobile Hotspot.
The internet connectivity comes from a Visible+ plan which is sufficient for my needs. Visible only allows one device to be connected to the phone so the Mobile Hotspot feature in Windows works great distributing connectivity throughout the home.
    My issue-
I have several devices, laptops, Apple TV, iPads, TV's, etc. all connected simultaneously with no issues whatsoever.
One laptop, one of two in the house, will not connect. The laptop in question is a HP also running Win 10. Both the desktop and laptop are kept up to date in Windows Update. This is the only device I own that will not connect! It seems like it should be a simple fix but I can't seem to solve it...

Suggest getting a Asus Router and running Merlin so that you can use it with your phone as a mobile hotspot. Using Windows to do it will just cause headaches.

Are you using 2,5 or 5 Ghz, older devices may not be capable of 5Ghz

The Dell desktop transmits the signal with a Broadcom 802.11n.
The HP laptop that will not connect uses a Broadcom BCM43142 802.11bgn M.2 adapter.
For the sake of comparison I use a 12+ year old HP laptop to run a CNC machine. It connects just fine with a Realtek 802.11 bgn adapter.
