Win 10 doesn't show NAS

I have Win 10 21H1 Build 19043.928. I have a NAS on my network. I used Synology assistant to find it and after that now have to type in the NAS \\blahblahNAS before it will show up in the Win 10 "This PC". When I go to "network" it doesn't show up there either. I can type in \\blahblahNS at the top of the window where the word "Network" is and the NAS will show up. Just not in the tree view till I do that. Anyone else run into this that knows how to fix it?

Network and Sharing Centre > Advanced sharing settings.
Network discovery > Turn on.
File and printer sharing > Turn on.

I had those boxes ticked but it didn't seem to make a difference. Then this morning when I start Win 10 I can see my NAS in the tree view of "This PC" so I don't know what I did but obviously stumbled into the solution.

Okay, this is very frustrating. Now after the last reboot Windows 10 doesn't show my NAS in "Network". Any ideas?
File and Printer Sharing is on
Turn on Network Discovery is on
Guest or Public both file and printer sharing and network discovery are on.
Turn off password is checked
Use 128 bit encryption is checked

The thing was working a few hours ago, now I have to go back to my original solution and type in the NAS in the address box of the "Network" folder. Argghh!

Not those, it should be ON under Private(Current profile).

Guest Or Public is OFF on mine.

Password is ON.

That ensures it is only my account on PC that has access, no one else.

SMB settings are as shown for Windows, and one Synology NAS box.

Okay I went through sort of backwards here but did Helmut's solutions first. I had enable Guest/Public permissions but disabled them a few minutes ago. I didn't like the idea of leaving them enable either.

Then I moved to Marie SWE's solutions: Took a couple of screen shots to show what I have in Services. Today I can see my NAS in tree view when opening but not in "network...".

Do not understand what you mean, as if you see it in tree view then that would include network.
You will have to explain more, or show in a screen shot(excluding personal info).

As my screen shots show, you do not need SMB1 enabled on an old and new Synology NAS box.

I suspect the problem is in the Synology Accounts and sharing setup. You will have to use Synology's help info for that.
Synology Control Panel > Network, User & Group including User permissions for read & write etc.

Too much editing out of personal info is needed for me to show screen shots.

I appreciate the help both of you have given and I'm going to investigate further your solutions and read up a little more on Win 10.
To be honest, I have stuck with my Win 7 workhorse OS for so long now MS has even come out with Win 11 ! So I need to catch up a little on Win 10 and am using it to get used to it. My wife's PC is also Win 7.
As you can see in the "This PC" snip here our NAS shows up in tree view along with mine and my wife's PCs. But over where all the drives show as to how muc space they have etc., in the "Network" section only my wife's Win 7 machine shows up. I think what I will do in the interim is make symbolic links for network devices till I can study more.
I'm going to read up more on Windows 10 and that will probably help a lot. I hoped the solution was a one size fits all like Windows 7 but I suppose there are just too many variations in 10 for that to be reasonable. Mine right now is 21H1 19043.928.
I have learned quite a bit the past couple of weeks so it will come to me eventually.
Until then I Thank You again and after I have studied more I will be back to give an update.
I got spoiled with Windows 7.
