How can I check the BIOS status? I have no clue how to do it. Besides, the local Acer Support person said there was no way of activating/deactivating BT in BIOS. I am not sure I believe that as I read a comment here on the forum about checking the BIOS status. I just don't know how to do it...
BOOT Menu and BIOS Settings HotKeys

When you BOOT the computer, it goes through a very quick POST [ Power On Self Test ].

If you want to enter the BOOT Menu or BIOS Settings, and you know the correct HotKey, then you press that key at this stage before the POST finishes and the OS loads.

If you do NOT know the correct HotKey, and you are quick enough, they will be displayed briefly on the screen.

If the POST is just too quick, then the following comprehensive HotKey list [ from the different manufacturers ] may be of help.

    > Hot keys for Boot Menu / BIOS Settings

Additionally, here is a comprehensive list [ Intel ] of the the different manufacturers support websites.

    I hope this helps.

If available there should be a switch/button in the BIOS for bluetooth, if there isn’t then the pc doesn’t have one.
Is there a key which if clicked disabled bluetooth? Edit: Fn + F3 turns n/off the communication devices which may include bluetooth.

Yes, it seems to be Fn + F3 which is the communications button.

OK, thanks, I have a little work to do with this. If I succeed, how do I navigate the BIOS to find the BT?

Usually it’s a Fn key - restart the pc & as soon as you see the manufacturer’s logo rapidly click F2.

The arrow keys normally scrolls you through the different BIOS sheets / tabs.

OK, I have never been into BIOS before. Are there different sections I have to navigate through to fins the BT?

    Thanks, Paul. I am learning...

Does BIOS contain the same settings in all Windows 10 devices?
I am confused by the Acer Service person who said that BT could not be activated in BIOS.

In case I am causing a confusion here, Fn+F3 does not start the BT and it does not show on the Device Manager.

    Hello again all,

I was in BIOS, but either I am very clumsy or there is no BIOS setting there. If it is there I was unable to find it...

If it helps, I have spent some time searching for and found the manual for you here . . .

    > Download Acer Aspire 8943G Series Service Manual

When you open the downloaded manual, if you press Ctrl + F and type in BIOS, it will highlight ALL the BIOS entries.

It may of course, NOT have the information that you want !

    I hope this helps.

Than you very much, Paul, that was very kind of you to spend time and efforts to find the manual.

I looked through the BIOS entries, but unfortunately nothing about the Bluetooth.

But the Service Manual will be a good tool to have as long as I keep using the 8943G. Just a pity that we cannot resolve the problem...
