Stunning - No Easy Way to Copy Path of Directory in Mapped Drive

I am left with the question, why? Does the culture at Microsoft not care about the quality of their product? Does the lack of such a basic and often-needed function reflect disdain toward people their founder wants to remove from Earth?

Or how about a way to get the size of all files in a folder?
Or print out a directory file listing?

Folder sizes - xplorer2/lite, Directory Opus
Directory print : Karen's Directory Printer

This is a classic example of Microsoft's "What me worry?" attitude. Because of the development and subsequent growth of 3rd party options, it would appear Microsoft can't be bothered putting in the time and effort to continue devlopement of it's Windows built-in programs.

As someone else once said elsewhere in these forums, Window 10/11 is the absolute most perfect program ... for running third party software options.

AFAIK there is no option to copy any lettered drive path, mapped or otherwise. The path for any lettered drive is simply the drive letter.

EDIT If you want to copy the path for a shortcut Yu don't say why you need to copy the mapped path?), forget about the drive letter, just copy the path from Windows Explorer (now there's something Windows Explorer can do).

One method to get the path of the mapped drive itself is to look in the Registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2
    Map network drive - TenForumsTutorials
You'd then have to manually add any further path to a folder within it [get that bit using File explorer].

Does that solution require continued use of the so-called System of window, hacks, etc

The greateat peace and serentity I have known was the result of knowing Microsoft could lie to me no longer without me knowing. Ever since then. I know I can bring them down before they bring me down. That is a state of peace.

It adds the ability to copy anything's file path to the context menu, just like the description at the link I posted.

Why couldn't you ask the question without adding conspiracy theories?

I clearly wasted my time responding to your request for assistance when all you were after was an excuse to witter on meaninglessly.
