Can't see one client PC on network
We have a small 3 Windows 10 PC client LAN. My problem is:
1 can see 2,
2 can see 1,
3 can see 1 and 2
1 and 2 cannot see 3
All three are running the same Windows 10 Version (see below).
The network is CAT5e ethernet, with the clients connected through a small switch.
I followed the "how to" and found that C was in a different workgroup. All required services are running, as well as SMB Direct. SMB1 is disabled across all three. All three have folders shared to "everyone" on the network.
I changed 3 to the correct workgroup name, rebooted. 1 and 2 still can't see 3's shared folders. 3 still sees 1 and 2.
I read in the how to change the workgroup name that one member found they had to use the CLI to get his to work. I tried that in powershell and it replied that the PC was already in that workgroup.
This isn't a new problem. Seems like this has been with us since Windows 10 killed homegroups. I can't exactly recall which PC initially created the homegroup, may have been 3. Could there be some registry settings interfering from the obsolete homegroup?
Network performance is otherwise trouble-free.
Any additional help in troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated.
