I've got this downloaded, says it's not registered but I think it will run anyway.
    As I said- yes

How do I find where to select chkdsk c:/scan? And once I do that, where do I run SFC/SCANNOW? Just don't know the software, apologies.
    I said
    from an admin command prompt

    - don't know how? Google can help..

Yes, Google is the best help, I'll ask it.

Before doing the command lines, change powershell to Command Prompt. This video explains it.

Then you right click on the start button at the bottom left, in the menu left click on Command Prompt(admin), a window will appear and you copy / paste the command lines in this window, and one at a time.

It's weird but I used the Power Shell instead because I wasn't getting anywhere using the Command Prompt and that worked.

So far the internet has stayed connect since the last reply I made here. I really don't know, but I haven't had the energy to fiddle with it today, but I do appreciate the info I got from you and I'll look at it again tomorrow. Thanks again, so much :)

It's still working @itsme1, I had found this article, see #3 Method to fix random disconnect here

This seems to have worked but I had to click on all network adapters to find one single adapter that had the Power Management option. But seems to have worked so far. My ExpressVPN also had it so I unchecked it's box as well.

    Alright, that is good.
If it worked before the electrical outage it's not really a solution, think about the Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade indicated in my post 9, it's a solution to do before a clean installation that could fix everything or almost computer problems.
That said, you won't consume much more without the wifi adapter automatically going into standby.
