SMBv2 Possible on LINKSYS WRT1900ACS Router?
I have a Linksys WRT1900ACS Router and apparently it only supports SMBv1 protocol, which according to Microsoft is a large security concern. I have been using it as a NAS with a hard drive plugged into it's USB port by manually enabling SMBv1 on Windows 10. It occurred to me that perhaps I could install a custom firmware (such as DD-WRT) onto the router and then it might be able to support the more secure SMBv2 protocol. Is this possible, or is the SMBv1 support due to a hardware constraint?
