Allow this device to wake the computer from sleep

I want to use this feature from my laptop so I can wake the main PC on my LAN, but the feature is greyed out on the PC's wireless network adapter Properties tab even when using the hidden admin account. The PC is running Win 10 Pro 64-bit.

    Hello @Fixer,

As a start, which might help to diagnose the problem, Copy & Paste the following commands into a CMD Prompt and press Enter after EACH one. Post the results.

    Code:

    echo. & powercfg -DeviceQuery Wake_Armed 2>&1
    echo. & powercfg -DeviceQuery Wake_From_Any 2>&1
    echo. & powercfg -DeviceQuery Wake_Programmable 2>&1
    echo. & powercfg -LastWake 2>&1
    echo. & powercfg -Requests 2>&1

    I hope this helps.

    Hello @Fixer,

Also have a look at this => Allow or Prevent Devices to Wake Computer in Windows 10

Also, have a look at the Related Tutorials at the BOTTOM of the above Tutorial, as they may also be useful.

    I hope this helps.

C&P causes an error - ampersand not allowed

OK, I first ran the commands in Powershell but they do run in cmd prompt. Wake from Any does show my wireless adapter,no error or other messages. I'll look at your other suggestions when I've had a bit of lunch ;-)

I've been having a good dig around and it's looking like it may not be possible on this machine - my power options do allow wake timers but say nothing about other wake events. Possible a BIOS update may fix it but it isn't vital enough to warrant that.

    Thanks for the input.
