    That's strange?!

I checked my IP-number and right away there is something strange going on. Instead of leading the IP-number of my PC to my house... but instead its leading straight to a far-away border town near the German border! (Ommen to be exact, and towards the owner of a jewelry shop no less!)

But how can this BE? Shouldn't my IP-address lead to my PHYSICAL address instead toward some town I've never heard of? Is my IP-address going bonkers?

For privacy reasons I won't tell my IP-address, ofcourse. And no, I don't use a VPN.

    Strange, strange......

You have two IPS one for local network normally 192.168 range then you have a internet IP give by your ISP if you check online it's the ISP one you see which may be for their main server location your 192 IP can't be transmitted on the net

    No, not necessarily.

Think about it, how do you connect to the internet? You are connected from your location to your ISP, but that's over fibre or copper wire, not by an IP connection.

It's your ISP that actually connects to the internet backbone and provides you with your IP address. That connection could be made anywhere you ISP has their equipment.

This says my ISP's connection is being made some 15 miles away from me.....

MY IP LOCATION => Where am I based on my IP?

My ISP keeps randomizing my IP location for me so I move around like John Wick.

That can happen if not using a Static IP address, mine charges more for that. DHCP is most common for households in my area.
