Network cannot log-in to HP laptop
Hi all:
Odd issue.
I have a LAN with four PCs - 2 Macs and 2 Windows laptops.
I use the Microsoft account password to access the Windows Laptops on the network.
Last week I had to replace the hard drive following a catastrophic failure of the previous one.
Unfortunately my backup drive had saved all my files but not Windows or my specialty apps.
I ended up having to perform a clean re-install of Window 10 Home v 21H2 and Office. I was also able to re-load all my specialty apps used on this machine and recovered all the associated images and files.
My problem has occurred with the HP laptop when attempting to log in from the network.
I can access the two Macs and the Windows 11 laptop from this one but I can not log onto this one using my microsoft password.
I can also access the Windows 11 Laptop from both Macs.
It is just the HP one that will not accept the password.
In diagnosing the issue I have validated that I can log into this HP laptop on startup using either my PIN or my Microsoft Password.
I have also verified the IP address is valid and that the Laptop name is different from the other Laptop. I have tried with both laptops connected and just one. I have also tried with the server set to Wireless, Ethernet with the same result.
As I mentioned it is only logging into this one that I have problems.
I presume it is a setting within the HP but my researches on the Microsoft site and other web searches has not shown any solution.
