Strange & Crazy Win10 Hotspot Issue - If Hotspot ON limited websites

Crazy Windows Hotspot Issue. I do not even know where to begin with this one.
I did have everything working until probably a couple of weeks ago. I have Comcast/Xfinity. Prior to this I had Optimum and recently moved and now have Comcast but I know it was working fine with both until very recently. On to the issue at hand....
    -----------
    The Isssue:
When I turn the Windows 10 Hotspot ON on my PC my computer will no longer connect to most websites.

Let me clarify the issue fully from what I have observed -

Once I turn on the Hotspot on my PC I lose connectivity to certain websites. For instance, once the hotspot is on (dosent matter if a device connects or not) I can no longer connect to fast .com but I can connect to YouTube. The Youtube page will load in Chrome but will not play videos. I can also do a Google search but if I try to click on a search result it will not load the page. I can not load my Gmail either if I have the hotspot on, once I turn it off everything is back to normal. So with the Hotspot on I have very limited connections.
Once I turn OFF the Hotspot I can instantly connect to any site, even the ones that would not load just a moment ago.

    Connected device works properly
The Crazy part is the Device that connects to my Hotspot is a Laptop and that has no issues with any sites. I can load any page I want on the Laptop connected to my Hotspot, but the Main PC hosting the Hotspot can not load most sites. Makes no sense to me.

Things I have tried but don't really know what to do
I have also tried the Opera browser and got the same results as Chrome. Next, I tried Windows browser Edge and nothing will load with the Hotspot on.

I have cleared all of the browser's history and cache and flushed the DNS in CMD. I went into device manager and deleted the Hotspot connection under Network devices (lists as MS WiFi Virtual Adapter #2). I rebooted so the Adapter was reinstalled and no luck.

I really do not understand this issue why turning on the Hotspot limits my connectivity but not the PC connected to the Hotspot. Any ideas on what to do let me know... Again this use to work just fine... Know that for a fact.

I Have no issues listed in the device manager.

    Some system Info
    Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 21H2 -
MOBO - ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II (AM4)
    Intel WiFi 6 AX200 160MHz PCI-e Card
    (Intel(R) I211 Gigabit Network Connection)

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR IDEAS AND HELP!

I'm in front of a tablet now, I'll have to do a search when in front of my primary PC where it's easier to navigate, but I seem to recall that the latest patch Tuesday updates break hotspots. I'll search for details later, but in the meantime maybe this will serve as a reminder to others who can supply the details.

Might also be worth checking to see if the July preview updates fix that.

LOL, found it already. Look at the known issues section of the June updates here:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...5-1f54e5d1bb15

It notes the hotspot issue and states that KB5014666 resolves it. That KB is in fact the July preview update so my guess on that was correct .

Please do. I would be interested in knowing if that does indeed resolve the issue for you.

    hsehestedt,

    THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED!
I needed to install the KB5014666. My Updates were up to date according to Windows Update. KB5014666 was under 'Optional Updates' and did not install automatically.

That 'Guru' under your handle is no lie. I can't thank you enough!

    Best Wishes,

So glad I could help! I'm one of those nut cases who likes to read the release notes, known issues, and stuff like that.

Just FYI, the Preview Updates are just that - previews of what will be coming out on the next patch Tuesday minus the security updates. Since they are just a preview, they are considered optional. Still, I like to read up on what's included because sometimes they fix some important issues.
