Remove DLNA Servers from Explorer Navigation Pane
Win10 19044.1645
It shouldnt be this hard to get an efficient explorer to ones taste but apparently it is. I've used all reg files in here to get rid of the clutter but some still remains. Funnily, this worked until a week or so ago when an update must have reset a lot of the reg changes and all the annoyances came back.
Now I'm left with only 2 I cannot kill.
How to I get rid of the DLNA servers showing up in the navigation pane (just under This PC)? Specifically, my Sonos speakers (who really, really, really are no DLNA devices to begin with). They're all listed with their IP address and Name and just take up vertical space. I do not really want to disable a service (like UPNP detection for example), I just want those entries gone and they can still be listed under Network, I dont mind.
Found this DLNA Media Servers - Add or Remove in Windows 8 This PC | Windows 8 Help Forums (eightforums.com) but it's for 8 and a bit old. Still viable?
The other one is Desktop Folders showing up in the navigation pane at the end below Recycle Bin. Dont need them, dont want them, be gone! Any idea how I change that behavior?
