firewall off, opened ports in router for PC, ports still closed
I am trying to get Yawcam to be able to to be accessed remotely by the internet or honestly on the LAN too.
I went into the Fios router and opened the ports 8888 and 8081 just like Yawcam says to do.
I created in and out bound rules in windows firewall
But when I check with online port checkers and Yawcam utility, there is no connection, always closed.
I turned off windows firewall, still no open ports
So what am I doing wrong?
some pics
I called the rules Yawcam in, Yawcam out, all ports are open for the app

Yawcam is allowed access.
BUT nothing seems to check out?

I just added yawcam.exe to the approved firewall program list, but still no go. Is it possible it is working but the online checkers dont work?

YES, I just went to the site and can view on my phone, so it is working, even though both the Yawcam are you online test, and other ports checkers fail

So far this is the only webcam software that sort of works for me over the internet or even the lan. I can connect to the stream over the internet away from my house. You use your WEB side IP and put in :8081 when streaming.
But I have noted some Yawcam glitches, the app sometimes shuts down silently, it quits. Sometimes the stream quits, sometimes it is more laggy than other times. I switched it from javascript to mjpeg and set the stream timer to 10,000 seconds from 60 seconds. may have helped a little. when the stream quits, it usually reconnects on my phone if I click the url again.
See as I was typing in the phone image said offline, and no streaming visible, but refreshing the phone I see the stream again.
I dont know where the issue is, network, webcam, software, who knows. I use Verizon Fios High speed internet.
I typed in the "IP adress:8081" on the same PC web browser and get a good connection
