    Media stream a custom folder to watch on my TV?

    I have a LG TV with webos in it, I'm trying to see custom folders that I've added via the folders "Network Access" (read permissions), for now I see the basic 4 folders which are: Music, Videos, Recorded & Pictures.

    This is how my media streaming options looks like:

    And the customs folder network access:

    I tried the same with my PS4 but couldn't see that folder, I know that I can copy videos to the Videos folder but I want to use a different folder from a different disk.

    Maybe you could create a folder in the videos folder and use a symlink to point it to the actual folder/drive?

    @imso3k -

    What would you like to accomplish with the LG TV?

    Example - Play a movie on your computer and screen share with the LG or just display pictures?

    If you look under the Control Panel, your LG can show it listed as a Smart TV and/or a Media Streaming Device.

    I just want to be able to access it on my TV, without playing it on my PC first .

    In that case Media Steaming for your computer should be turned on and allowed.
    Under the Control Panel in W10 make sure that the LG TV is added as both a Smart TV and Media device.

    I also believe that you need to enable File Sharing with the TV, since W10 will think that it's another computer.

    When you share the LG TV will ask you to accept the connection. Please do so.

    I find their WebOS to be very inconsistent, especially when using MIracast to screen share your laptop or desktop.
