    Slow Internet Connection Time

    When I boot up my PC (W10; Version 20H2, Build 19042.1466) it takes 30 - 60 seconds to extablish the Internet connection. This is independent of my logon status. The PC has an Ethenet connection to the router (VZ FIOS) and my WiFi connects are active at the time. I am running Norton which is the only program that might be influencing this. Ideas about how to isolate the issue?

    Hi, @WWolfe.

    This problem may occur if you are using the wrong/outdated WiFi drivers. So you should update your WiFi/network adapter driver drivers to see if it fixes your problem.

    @WWolfe -

    Well, if it's when you boot it up there could be underlying processes that are starting or slightly delayed.
    Have you checked to see what programs are running at startup - they may be hidden in the background.

    Use Task Manager -> Startup Tab.

    Slow Internet Connect time

    I normally use an Ehternet link to the router and have WiFi turned off. For a test I disconnected the Ethernet and turned WiFi on. Connect time is almost instantaneous using WiFi. Go figure???
