New NIC works at 100Mbps - drops internet connection at 1000gbps
Hi,
We recently upgraded our broadband to full fibre to the property BB. 250Mbps.
Three PCs hardwired to the router, two by ethernet powerlines (TP-link AV2000 2-Port Gigabit Passthrough Powerline), the other 600Mpbs.
The former connects to my 2 year old PC, which already has a 1000gbps NIC. Now get mid 100s regularly. Happy with that
The latter to a 10 year old PC, which had an onboard 100Mbps NIC.
So I got a new NIC for it, the Intel L210 Gigabit Connection card.
At 100MBps, it is fine, and faster than the old on board card. Get around 80 to 90 (after 30, that's good).
However when I flip it to Gigabit, I lose my internet connection.
Baffled. Can't find anything on the net. Am assuming something on board is the problem (and indeed, have contacted the engineer at the company that sold me both these [Shuttle] PCs, to see if he can advise).
So - anyone here have ANY idea why this happens?

Thanks in advance
