Depends where I am at, which computer I am on.

At home, I will hardwire whenever possible. My desktop is hardwired. My work laptop is usually plugged into a dock, which is hardwired. But if I take my work laptop out of the dock, then I am on wireless. If I am on my personal macbook pro laptop, i don't have an ethernet dongle for that machine, so it's always wireless.

WiFi exclusively. 100% reliable and good speed - but then my router is just 10 foot away from me.

Coming in/out of my house with the Modem/Router it's wired from a green cabinet in a nearby road.

Beyond that I have no idea of what happens with the various Telecoms companies involved, could involve wires, optical fibres, microwave/wireless links, wet string or whatever.

At the moment, mostly ethernet if the device is compatible. I'd rather use wifi, but I have a cheap router that arbitrarily "bans" different wireless devices to connect to the internet and requires a reboot to get them connected again.

Jeeze, you'd think a 30 buck router would be good enough for 10+ devices to connect reliably...
