laptop to cell phone help

heres the deal

I have no internet for 3 weeks.. Vexus, my internet provider, has terrible tech support. Last week, I called them about it. they said it was a server issue, was going to send a tech to reset it. would take a week. waited a week. no internet. made another call this week. they were supposed to call when they get to us. don't know when tho.

so heres the equipment I have.

Laptop with windoze 10
netgear router nighthawk R7000P
netgear DSL modem
LG Tribute Empire

capcall telephone that uses both landline and internet.

so how do I set up it so that the laptop gets the internet via cellphone's boost mobile internet.

sources say I need a router for that, understand that requires re-configuring it to a "repeater" or "bridge".

I do have another router, a linksys EA7500 that I have not used. it was a back up in case the netgear router got bricked permanently if the firmware install wasn't fixed.

others say a dedicated hotspot does the job.

I would change broadband supplier immediately. They must be in breach of contract. Call them and tell them you are chaging supplier immediately if they do not fix your issue.

Using a mobile phone as a hotspot is only suitable as a very short term solution and may not even be permitted under terms of mobile phone use, or may be limited to a certain amount of data etc.

Resetting a router is pretty easy - there is usually a button you hold for say 15 seconds (sometimes recessed and you need a paperclip or something like that to press it).

4 weeks now. tired of the back n forth. oh well. I do need to switch providers.

this is more for the caption call telephone.

I do have the hotspot running, surprised how easy it was. it doesn't however do much for the caption call phone which uses the internet to translate calls into text.

A cellphone service in my area can provide their customers a HotSpot that connects to the computer that allows Internet service but the speed is not great and there's usually caps on the amount of downloaded data which includes how many sites are visited and how much bandwidth is used. Don't know what you may be able to find but some examples:

Used to have a client that used one when doing church work in various locales during the year, Internet didn't rely on a SmartPhone.

i have unlimited data from boost mobile under their plan.. so the issue isn't really an issue.
