    Disappearing Network Drives

    Hi,

Firmware on Mybooklive was updated about 3 weeks ago.
Ran the following to check Win 10,
    Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealthsfc /scannowDism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBasepause

It found errors but reported them as fixed.

Did the drive finally showed up or it's still missing in explorer. WD announced EOL for that product in 2019, maybe compatibility is slowly falling, And I forgot to ask... Once connected to they disappear or they are ok then ?

No it did not appear. Everything was working fine up to sometime this week.
I cannot remember what has changed though.

Can you roll back to a working point ? And try to see if it happens again in the future. If it's something you inadvertently done, the problem should not come back.

    MaloK

Very many thanks for your help and patience.
Unfortunately my backups only go back 2 days (needs reviewing). I will probably do a Windows refresh sometime soon.

Once again many thanks and take care.

No problem, hope this fix your issue.

Keep in mind that these device are slowly phased out because of security concerns, there is no real problem on a local network, but you may have to loosen some security and enable undesired things at some point to keep it working.

I prefer using a small computer with a NAS server software, they have the big advantage of being in active development and constantly updated.
