Can you connect to other networks is you networks card b,g,n AC and what is your router set to b,g n AC

Check to see if you have an existing Wi-Fi profile for that connection. If so, delete it and try to connect again.

Try exporting the WiFi profile from a PC that can connect, then importing it into the one that can't. I routinely do that for my WiFi profile when configuring a new PC after a clean install. Saves time, I don't have to set up a new connection from scratch.

I'm afraid not. But it's not that difficult to do.

It's simplest to export all the WiFi profiles of the working PC, saving you the bother of finding out which one you need. Open a Command Prompt and type the command from Option One, Step 4: netsh wlan export profile key=clear folder="%UserProfile%\Desktop" You could, if you'd like to save to a USB stick use folder="D:\" (or whatever drive letter your USB is on).

Then if you look where you saved the profiles you'll see one .xml file for each profile with a fileneme that matches the PC's WiFi profile name.


On the PC you want to add the WiFi profile to, insert the USB and use the command from Option Two Step 3, netsh wlan add profile filename="full path of .xml file" user=all where you should replace full path of .xml file with the path and filename of the profile you want to import from the USB, eg: filename="D:\WiFi my_profile.xml"

When you are done delete all the .xml files you created. These contain your WiFi password in plain text, you don't want to leave those lying around for others to find.

I'm sorry I couldn't explain it in simpler terms. There is another tutorial that will reset your network adapter and remove all your WiFi profiles.

Option One in this tutorial requires just four clicks of the mouse and has pictures of each step.

When done it will put your PC back to the state it was in before it had ever connected to any networks. You should then be able to set up your connection.
