Help projecting laptop to TV
Windows Version 2OH2 (OS Build 19042.1288)
Wondering if anybody can share suggestions on how I can better project my laptop on to my (brand new) 65 inch Samsung TV. I am able to do this by selecting "Connect to wireless display" in settings, but the problem is it will not stay connected. Sometimes it stays connected for maybe 10 minutes, sometimes for 1 minute, and anywhere inbetween, but sooner or later it always drops the connection and I have to re-initiate it. The laptop is in the same room as the TV and I have a good eero mesh wifi router system so I assume wifi signal is not the issue. Any suggestions on how I can get a more stable connection to my TV?
As an alternate approach, I have also tried to connect via the "Remote PC" option on my TV (rather than the "Screen Sharing" option). It requires me to enter my IP address (I used IPv4 address I found for my home network) and select the "RDP Protocol" for Windows, which I have done. But when I click on "connect" it just tells me it can't connect ant to make sure the PC is on (yes), connected to the network (yes) and that remote access is enabled. For the latter, I was not exactly sure how to enable remote access, but I went into Settings/For developers/, turned on Developer Mode and then switched Device Discovery to "on." But this still does not work.
So, I dunno. Any suggestions much appreciated!
