Should I connect a VPN to my laptop
Hello,
I use my Android phone as a hotspot for my Windows 10 laptop. I have NordVPN connected to my Android phone, should I also have it connected to my laptop?

Interesting enough, I asked Nord VPN this very same question and they replied:
Yes, both devices should be connected, but something didn't sound right about that, and they offered no detailed explanation.
VPNs have two main routing modes: Full tunnel - All network traffic is routed through the VPN. Split tunnel - Network traffic for specific ranges is sent through the VPN, but general Internet traffic is not
I don't know how Nord VPN configure their tunnels and I cannot verify on Android, but from what I read it seems different. In IOS in VPN there is an option named "Send All Traffic" enabling this option forces all traffic to go trough the VPN. If this option is not present. Your hot spot may not do so.
You can use IP/DNS Detect - What is your IP, what is your DNS, what informations you send to websites. to verify your setup. If your setup leaks try to connect your laptop to the VPN.
