Well said, Mike. Some things are just an overkill.
I have the mid-range provider package at $40/mo using Ethernet on the tower and WiFi on the laptop. Never a problem streaming Netflix, YouTube vids, or much trouble with browsing. It's like you say. Some sites are just slow to go.
The next higher package is 75mbps at twice the cost. No way!

Although for download your actual download time depends of the server your downloading from, or even the sites server you're browsing for page loading.
Microsoft Community, for example, is always slow loading, no matter your own speed
That's one of the reasons I have all but given up there, and started using Eight Forums, then later Ten Forums, I just don't have the patience to wait 30 - 45 seconds for a "Next Page" to load.(plus their site search really sucks)
This is with my wifi. I can't get my LAN to work right now but on it my download went over 350.
Actually I was downloading COD ghosts off STEAM during that last one. I guess my using WIFI rather than the hard wire isn't affecting anything.
I just tested mine, and it was a 25ms ping, with 63.61Mbps up and 5.64Mbps down. I pay for 60/5.
I had been on 30/5 for years, and recently went up to the 110/10 plan, but it didn't hardly ever go over 70Mbps to the places I went. My biggest downloads are for my Xbox One and they rarely get to go 60Mbps. So, I downgraded to the 60/5
