    Try the Bing Speed Test
    speed test - Bing
    By the way, I pay for 25 & 5, but since I use have Hyper-V set up and my host(the one I took the test with) use a vEthernet a virtual switch, I get faster speeds all the time, not too much faster, but still faster no matter what speed test I use.

    Just went to speedtest site and tested my speed twice. These were the results. Would you say my speed was good, or slow? Comcast/Xfinity service on personal desktop computer, windows 10. I don't stream any movies or anything, just regular home use.

    Ping = 9ms
    Download = 90.15Mbps
    Upload = 6.13Mbps

    Ping = 20ms
    Download = 90.29Mbps
    Uplosd = 6.06 Mbps

    Your ping is good
    Download is good (mines 58mbps)
    Upload which is not so important is bad (like mine)

    I got a email from Comcast telling me I need to upgrade my modem to be able to use the newer high speed internet that took place back in October. I'm now on the 200/10 Mbps plan. I'm happy with my setup and see no reason to upgrade my modem. This is the speeds I'm getting without the updated modem. I don't know if it matters but these speeds are using 5G to access my Netgear router.

    Looks like they are just fishing for more money. Do you own or rent the modem ?

    I rent the modem from Comcast and have it hooked to my own router. I wouldn't be surprised that the new modem cost more because it has the built in wireless router.

    You could have light speed but if you are downloading something from a slow site it doesn't help any. Nothing can arrive before it leaves starting point. It's like driving F1 car in heavy traffic.
