    Lol. 150 Baud modem ?? I don't have landline last 15 years.
    Hi there
Hayes smartmodem -- "incredible speed 1200 baud - later upped to blindingly fast 2400 baud".

I still have that acoustic coupler -- but no landline though to test it on !!! --- could cause amazement in a local hotel perhaps by attempting to use the phone at the front desk !!! -- I'll say I'm testing some of the CIA's newest unhackable technology !!!.

    Cheers

Toronto airport had them in phone booths well into '80s. My first direct connect modem was Atari Pocket modem. Don't remember which year but it was working with Atari 400.

Are there better speeds available in Serbia? Once Starlink is operational, maybe thats something to consider.

Yes there are but right now I'm limited to 4G network as I'm out of town. 5G just became available but it's still far from me. What's even worst, there is a major optical cable passing by my house but can't connect to it. Parts of village have optical connection so maybe I get it soon too. There are 5 or 6 4G providers but they are same šit. Local TV + Internet cable service is also junk.
