What surprised me most is amount of crime and shootings. Most of my best friends moved out of Toronto to Oshawa and Barrie and even further when they had family.
Yes, you are absolutely correct about that. It got really bad there, they are even travelling out of Toronto. It's really funny, for the amount of rent/cost of a home/apartment there, it is not travelling outside of Toronto as well. What I mean by that is... for example rent in a high rise apartment will go for $2200.00/month give or take (that's in Toronto) but you go down the Highway a fair bit into the smaller towns the rent will cost you around $1200 - $1500/month. The reason for that is because all the big corps that are in Toronto are buying up all the smaller towns property and jacking the rent up... I really don't think that is right and shouldn't be allowed.

according to my provider, Virgin Media, I am now on 350+ superfast fibre. I have noticed that in spite of advertising laws in the UK to the contrary, many companies are still claiming 'superfast broadband' when they are nowhere near VM for speeds. naughty! I was walking through town recently and a provider was peddling their product. One asked me what my provider was, I told him VM, he just walked away, already defeated.

I'd love to be able to get Virgin here but that's just a pipe dream. I'm mean even though I'm supposed to be getting fibre here I'm not, the fibre comes from the exchange but only goes as far as a box just outside of the village, the opposite side that I live then it just comes over the original copper wires to my house. I usually get on average about 62Mbps download and 18Mbps up, that's over Wi-Fi.
