Cox Communications in Manchester CT. My plan is Cox Premier at 73.99 month. My normal download speeds at 6.2 - 6.5MBps on large files. 300GB a month cap which I usually go over (those damn 'rents for TV) but all they do is send me a e-mail telling me I went over and by how much- no extra charge or anything.
What would be really interesting would be this:
Bumps my cap to 400GB/month. Since I am already 20% faster than the service I am paying now, I could expect 160-175Mbps? Worth it? I donno.
EDIT 2014-10-14 Cox said they were going to double the internet speed for the same amount of money. They just bumped me up ( see post# 76) after I complained about them not doing it!

It's on Ultimate. I also live in Condo so, trying to change ISPs or
upgrade to Fiber is most likely out of the question well, not change
ISPs. I could always go to Bell but, I through them out 5 years ago
after being with them for 30.
I don't mind the upload as I rarely do. My download is what matters
and I get what I want.
Hit 16 MB/s the other day downloading from Origin.
Flashorn.
Those old non-fiber packages are already phased out. You can always call Rogers to switch you to fiber with the same speed and they may still give you a lower monthly rate.
As for upload, just go to your router settings and check if QoS is enabled and make sure it is not set to 2Mbps.
I am using my own router. The built-in router on Rogers' gateway always drops my connection. So I set it to bridge mode to use my own router.
