    Quick question...

Do you honestly see the difference when just surfing compared to let's say, 300 Mbps service?

    Thanks.
Browsing, maybe not. But that is the least thing you can do with fast internet.
But for streaming videos and 4K content, that's where the big difference is. Who likes video buffering?
It's really very enjoyable to watch even an NBA games in 4K.

I am actually amazed when I upload some short videos. The moment I press upload on Youtube, it's processing right away. It's like it skipped the "upload" part.

    You'll be surprised.
For the first 2 years, CAD $90 (US$70) as a bait offer for me to switch. Then back to normal price of CAD $140/month (US$109) after 2 years.
It includes 2nd tier 4K TV programming, home phone and a free second wireless receiver for a second TV.

Not bad! Not bad at all!

My MSO is building new infrastructure via fiber and I hope they will have these capabilities.
    Is your MSO on FTTH?

    Thanks!

Yup. That's the only way to get 1Gbps. Fiber to the node will never reach gigabit speed.

Last month, our ISP sent us a letter (in with the latest bill) that they were boosting our internet connection to 100 Mbps from 50 Mbps for no additional charge. Speedtest routinely returns 107 Mbps down and 6 Mbps up. Just good marketing as Spectrum is trying to solicit new customers from our ISP. Our ISP offers 1 Gbps internet, but I just don't need it now.
