Last month, our ISP sent us a letter (in with the latest bill) that they were boosting our internet connection to 100 Mbps from 50 Mbps for no additional charge. Speedtest routinely returns 107 Mbps down and 6 Mbps up. Just good marketing as Spectrum is trying to solicit new customers from our ISP. Our ISP offers 1 Gbps internet, but I just don't need it now.
I jumped to 1Gbps (switch ISP) because the package (1Gbps + 4K TV channels) I was offered is cheaper by $40 than with my previous ISP (100Mbps + basic TV package).
I don't need it but it saves me money. :)
