I have a at&t ADSL line. You? I'll assume fiber?

I'm 1/4 mile from a fiber trunk and I don't think too many are on the 1/4 mile line for Comcast cable is popular around here. Never see a slowdown and it's very reliable. :)
Very reliable connection for the most part. I haven't seen it bottleneck even on the busiest day (6 - 10 pm)

I see. That's your modem and a great one at that. Does Arris supply the data line as well? If so, is it optict fiber?

I don't understand what you meant by data line. The cable modem only runs on Cat6 ethernet on its output. The cables itself is definitely not fiber optic.

I am on a 60/5 connection but they are generous in the provisioning.

Not unusual. I have over 940mb/s upload speed. It's called Verizon Fios Gigabit

Is Arris your ISP as well? If not, who?

Data line meaning to your building/house then to the router.

I've seen an optic line to a fiber media converter box in a business setting. Extremely quick. Expensive service, though.

I think Arris makes equipment used by ISPs and others.
