At lest 30 years of talks about "paperless office" and still more than ever trees die because of forms and bureaucracy. Every time I go bank to deposit pension checks, I have to sign two dozen paper forms.

About the only thing it has done is put the printers out of business, business no longer need a big pile of pre printed forms they just need blank paper.

I can remember working with the Canadian government. Even after CD's came out we had to use them for work submitted to them.

I live in a village in South Sweden and Telia (our version of BT) has only ever had copper cables upto now offering a max speed of 24Mbit. Now they have canvassed all the houses in the village as they intend to install fiber. Thats all looking great but they want each household to pay 20,000 kroner for the installation then an undisclosed monthly subscription. There threat is that all the copper will disappear in a year or two so if we want landlines we must pay for the fiber.
    We shall see..........
