I remember punch cards and cams on automatic machines.
At lest 30 years of talks about "paperless office" and still more than ever trees die because of forms and bureaucracy. Every time I go bank to deposit pension checks, I have to sign two dozen paper forms.
I live in a village in South Sweden and Telia (our version of BT) has only ever had copper cables upto now offering a max speed of 24Mbit. Now they have canvassed all the houses in the village as they intend to install fiber. Thats all looking great but they want each household to pay 20,000 kroner for the installation then an undisclosed monthly subscription. There threat is that all the copper will disappear in a year or two so if we want landlines we must pay for the fiber.
We shall see..........
