    Armstrong cable came out in June, dug up the neighborhood, and installed fiber.
    Then Comcast came out in November ... and did the same thing.

    It's odd that they duplicated their work.

    Because a few years ago, back in Raleigh NC, AT&T and Google installed fiber, and they shared it.
    No need for two installs.
    No duplication. Less disruption. Much better.

    I wonder though why it is that at 'lower' bandwidth my ISP gets me about 5% 'extra' (up and down) and with 1Gbps, I get 5% less.
    Vaguely heard this is for some technical reason, or so (?)
    Maybe someone here knows??
