    How to transfer large files between PC's


    I have multiGB files on my C drive that I need to transfer to C drive on another PC. I dont have much room in dropbox so I cant transfer through dropbox. Is there any other way. Thanks

    Hello @naushwin10,

    You could buy an External Drive [ 2, 3, 4, 5 TB for example ] and Copy the files across. This will also leave the ORIGINAL files intact if there is a problem during the Copying process. Then you could obviously Copy the files across to the other PC.

    There are other solutions such as setting up a Local Network to transfer the files etc.

    If you want to transfer a few hundred gigabytes of data, it’s generally faster to FedEx a hard drive than to send the files over the internet.

    These days, an external USB drive (not just a flash drive stick) is almost as essential as a keyboard and a mouse.

    Why not just connect both pcs with an ethernet cable.

    This is the fastest way for sure. You will need to set up network shares as well.
