Ethernet/wifi does not show up at network connections

    Hi there,

I recently bought a prebuilt pc and have installed Windows 10 pro on it by myself (full version). With booting it up I did not have a option to connect with wifi/a adapter, so I did not have a connection yet while starting it up. At the moment I have a ethernet cable (brand new, so its not broken or anything like that) running from my modem to my pc upstairs, which both my modem and pc are working fine. I have searched/tried many methods to get this working, but whenever I try to connect to a network/adapter it just says "this folder is empty"). It also doesn't show up when I go to "device manager". When I try to troubleshoot the problem, it says: "install a driver for your network adapter". I also have tried completely reïnstalling Windows, but nothing works. I hope there is someone who can help me with this problem. I left some screenshot to make it a bit more clear.

This is my first post btw, so let me know If you need any other information.

It should have found the network driver
    Go here
    Z590 PRO WIFI
    Intel Network Drivers
    Version
    26.2.0.1
    Release Date
    2021-05-11
    File Size
    107.93 MB

install that driver if you do not have any connection at this time - download to usb flash pen and install from there

Your device that does not have the driver is shown on the image you have posted under other devices.

Further to the above - you can also install from the same link the wireless driver and then if there remains a problem with the ethernet you can connect wireless
    Intel WIFI Driver
    Version
    22.70.0.6
    Release Date
    2021-09-02
    File Size
    64.36 MB

presuming of course that the desktop can see the wireless signal, as presumably from what you say the modem is downstairs and the computer on the upper floor.

What length is this ethernet cable and please provide a link to the actual cable you have bought

Thank you for responding so fast. The ethernet cable is 30 meters long and this is the link to it BlueBuilt Netwerkkabel STP CAT6 30 meter zwart - Coolblue - Voor 23.59u, morgen in huis

I also have a question about the first reply. So I get those folders onto a usb drive and put it in the pc. The problem is that I don't see a way to "install" it or is there a differenty way to install it?

Not the PC as you say you have no internet connection, but another computer and then connect the usb to this one and then install

That cable should be OK - the reason I asked was there are basically two sorts of ethernet cables - a patch cable and a crossover cable
However you have the correct one - a patch cable
Straight Through Cables vs Crossover Cables: Key Difference

Are you sure the cable is clipped in the computers ethernet port and indeed in the router/modem ethernet port.

Yeah oke. I have downloaded the files, but I don't know how to boot it up/install it all. It doesn't show any of those options.

Yes, I have double checked that both ends are correctly clipped both into my pc and my modem.

    It is a zipped file
right click it - extract all and then you will see a listing in the extracted files for autorun - application

    Follow this
    1) Cancel any Found New Hardware Wizard screens that open.
    2) Start the autorun located in your download directory.
    3) Click "Install Drivers and Software" and follow the instructions in the
    install wizard.

    see screenshot please
click on image then when it opens - click again on the image and it will then enlarge
