If I can, I would appreciate advice how I should, or, if not any modifications that may help.

Since your computer has an HDMI output you should be able to connect that to the HDMI input of your telly.
Your telly will have a control to switch between the different inputs it can use.

Use WinKey-P to switch between the computer & the telly [it may automatically switch to the telly as soon as you connect the cable].

Either Cast (if desktop wifi capable - built-in or USB dongle) or HDMI connection - HDMI cable connection will give you a much better quality.

Also setting up wifi media sharing, depending on your PC's capabilities and your TV settings.

Almost impossible to give any detailed guidance, user manuals for desktop PC and TV will be your best route. Your search engine will also be your friend.

There are two protocols for casting from a PC to a Smart TV.

The first (and oldest, available since at least Win7) is casting using DLNA. Most Smart TVs will be DLNA certified devices, though you may need to enable it in your TV's settings (see you TV manual). Your TV will of course need to be connected to your network by Ethernet or WiFi in order to cast to it.

Digital Living Network Alliance - Wikipedia

To cast to a DLNA device, right-click on a media file (photo, audio or video) and select 'Cast to Device'.

The second, more recent method is a direct WiFi connection using Miracast. This requires a PC capable of Miracast, and a Smart TV that is Miracast-capable. This is the protocol used by the Connect app and would be the way to cast your DVD player or your Deskop to a TV.

Check Miracast Support on Windows 10 PC

Not all TVs include Miracast capabilities (my Panasonic Viera doesn't). If not they can be made so with an adapter, such as this one from Microsoft.

The Connect app is an optional feature for Windows 10 named 'Wireless Display'. Note that it can only be used to connect to a WiFi Miracast device.

You do not need any kind of app if you connect them by HDMI cable. HDMI is both the simplest & the most dependable type of connection you can use.

The usual use of the Connect app is to enable your PC to become a Miracast wireless device that can receive video cast from another PC.

That is the exact opposite of what you want to do.

From Brink's tutorialI have saved dxdiag and from the bolded items it appears Miracast is available, and Windows Display Driver Model is WDDM 2.4 However there seems to be no mention of Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS) 6.30 and Wi-Fi Direct.Might it be disguised as something else?
