My download speed on my pc is incredibly slow for every application, capping out at around 600 kilobytes per second.
All of my browsers (Opera GX, Brave, Chrome) and Steam have incredibly slow download speed for no explicable reason.
Task Manager reports no stress in any category, and speedtest.net tells me I have 30-45 megabits per second to work with.
If there's any other info I should provide, please let me know.
Having come from the Dial-Up days of 36Kbps then 53Kbps I'm quite satisfied with my 25Mbps service but have to keep in mind that many downloads don't get directly to me but come through a number of Internet Servers along the way. Also involved is the number of connections to the Server hosting files I download. It's all about bandwidth. If a subscriber has verified he/she is getting the speed they are paying for there's not much more they can do. If working through a Router connection to a Modem it's good to check that the proper Ethernet cable are in good shape. If Wireless/Wi-Fi connecting to the Router best to check there's no interference or anything to interfere with the radio signal such as what might be in a wall between devices. Generally the download speed is x times faster than the upload speed, if that is reversed there is a problem somewhere with the service.

Is your PC connected to your router via a cable or WiFi?
Do you know the speed of the connection between your PC and your router?
Do you have any other devices (such as a smartphone or tablet) that connect to your router that you could check your download speed with, without involving your PC?
Can you give us an example of a specific site/download where you get slow speeds (one we can all access to check if the problem is your PC or the server)?
